What can I do to help me through this transition? What can I do alongside or instead of medical options?
The Maris Practice is hosting an evening where you can meet complementary therapists who will be giving talks about techniques that help cope with the symptoms of menopause and explore the powerful changes that occur at this time, with time to chat with one another and our well-being practitioners over a glass of prosecco or other refreshments and nibbles. There are more details about the talks below.
This event is on Monday September 30th, 7.30pm – approx 9pm. Tickets are £10 per person.

Deb Archibald, Nutritional Therapist; Nutritional Support for Menopause – a Functional Medicine Approach
Menopause is a natural transition and not a “disease” but the symptoms can be frustrating and sometimes devastating to women’s quality of life. Deb Archibald, registered Nutritionist, will explain what happens to your hormones before and during menopause, why symptoms arise, how you can support your body’s changes through diet and lifestyle, and the importance of “addressing the terrain” to create balance in body and mind.
Louise Coyle, Hypnotherapist will explain how simple, easy to learn, self-hypnosis techniques can help you to bring your distressing menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, insomnia, stress and anxiety under control, and enable you to feel more like ‘you’ again.
Sarah Walker Psychotherapist and Counsellor will help us explore the powerful emotions that often accompany us on this transitional journey. We will look at ways of transforming these into positive energies that will support us to flourish in this new phase of our lives”
