Why did you want to be an osteopath?
After a long-standing rowing injury I had a transformative few appointments with an osteopath that not only gave me back the use of my left arm, but made me resign my job and retrain as an osteopath myself!
What do you enjoy about being an osteopath?
Aside from the satisfaction I get from helping my patients, I love being kept on my toes. You never know who is going to come through the door and what your day will be like.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I’m afraid that I am a fully fledged anatomy geek. If I’m not being a Mudlarker for Bronze Age skulls on the Thames foreshore, I am usually reading about it, on a course or researching my next course. I am also particularly fond of my shiny white bicycle, on which I tend to amble around Richmond Park. I am definitely not as fast as some, I am too easily distracted by trees, deer, dogs and tea…
What is the best thing about working at the Maris Practice?
I love working with such a supportive, diverse and hugely experienced group of people. We all share the same goals and use each other’s strengths and resources for the best possible outcome for our patients. The steady supply of good cake helps too!
