Dr Kat Rumball is a Clinical Psychologist (DClinPsy, BSc Hons) and HCPC registered practitioner with over 15 years of clinical and academic experience. Within the NHS she has worked as a Principal Clinical Psychologist for over four years, with her last role as a Lead of Psychology and Psychotherapies
Alongside her private practice, she works as a Guest Lecturer on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London and as a tutor with the Association of Psychological Therapies.
Kat’s first aim is to build a therapeutic relationship in which clients feel safe to explore and work with their challenges and strengths. She strives to provide a compassionate and empathic space, approaching difficulties with kindness and curiosity. Kat will tailor her approach to the goals and values of each client and can draw from a range of therapeutic approaches.
The therapeutic models she uses in particular include Compassion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Kat is currently offering therapy appointments for adult clients and has sessions available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. From 2024 Kat will also be offering autism assessments for adults and children over five years of age.
