Sarah Walker - The Maris Practice

Sarah Walker

Sarah is our Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor. An Integrative Psychotherapist simply means that she is not aligned with a particular psychotherapy theory but uses the one that meets the client’s needs. The Transpersonal element means that she believes we are more than simply our bodies, whatever that may mean specifically for you.

Sarah holds a Post Graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE). She has been working as a Psychotherapist for over 6 years in private practice, counselling centres and the NHS. She have also completed a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course and uses this where appropriate. She is a member of the UKCP and the BACP.

Sarah has helped people with depression, panic attacks, stress and anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, lack of meaning, divorce, eating disorders, spiritual crises, ageing, identity problems, adoption, disability, and problems rooted in childhood trauma.
