Sarah Mayo’s 2015 Paris Marathon

Sarah Mayo’s 2015 Paris Marathon

Many many congratulations to Sarah Mayo on completing the 2015 Paris Marathon in 4 hours, 5 minutes and 26 seconds, just 3 weeks after sustaining a lower back injury. On a beautiful (although slightly hotter than she would have chosen) day, Sarah and circa 40,000 other participants ran the 26.2 mile course through the stunning city.

One of our Osteopaths, Jessica Busen-Smith (and fellow BearCat Running Club member) worked with Sarah on her lower back injury and alignment over a number of sessions in the 3 weeks running up to the big day. Sarah has been amazed to find that since the marathon, she has not had any further problems; ‘it seems to have healed completely. It was also a bonus that Jess – a runner as well – had loads of great advice as well as her healing hands!’
